Emergency help in the cold weather...

There are various services available to help people who can't get out in the bad weather to go to the doctors, shops, etc. The following contact details may help.

RUSTIC
RUSTIC (Rural Support Team for Intermediate Care) may be able to offer short-term help to over-60s who need assistance. As examples, they can pick up requests for repeat prescriptions and deliver them to your GP, collect prescriptions, emergency shopping, etc. Call 01621 773733.

Essex County Council - Social Services
Essex County Council's Social Services department has an emergency number for meals on wheels and emergency care. Call 0845 606 1212.
